Rakesh Roshan was planning to make Krrish 2, a sequel of Krrish, but it seems that the film is kept aside for a while as no good script is coming in front. Also actor Hrithik Roshan is hesitating to work with director Rakyesh Om Prakash Mehra after his recent disaster Delhi-6. Mehra was supposed to direct Krrish 2.
“The Roshans have been working on several script ideas for Krrish 2 but nothing could be finalised. They could not zero in on any one script and whatever was remotely finalised, was not approved by either Rakesh or Hrithik. The idea has now taken a back seat as Rakyesh Mehra, who was finalised to direct the sequel, delivered a turkey in Delhi-6. Hrithik was in two minds about working with Mehra and Rakesh Roshan had made it clear that he does not want to direct Krrish 2. They have altogether dropped the plans to make the sequel. Currently, Rakesh Roshan is looking for a fresh subject with a global appeal as he wants Hrithik to be an international star,” said the source.
When asked to Rakesh Roshan, he said, “Right now, I am not thinking of anything till Kites releases. Only after that will I decide on what to make next.”

Farah Offers Script of Her Next Venture to SRK

Director-choreographer Farah Khan flew to San Francisco to offer her actor friend Shah Rukh Khan the first half of script of her forthcoming film named Happy New Year. Shah Rukh indeed was also waiting for her for the script on which she has worked for a year. By the time Farah also met Karan Johar. Well the three friends must have good time there, but what about her triplets - Czar, Diva and Anya?
“That won’t be a problem. Shirish (Farah’s husband) is very co-operative. Moreover, I am not going for too long. I will be back in 5-6 days,” answered Farah.
After her come back she will work on second half of the film. However she is planning to start shooting by the end of year.

Lara Molding In Comedy Roles

We can say that actress Lara Dutta is thinking seriously about comedy as she gets third comedy film in row. Previously Lara done comedy films like Partner and Bhagam Bhag, and so the actress is proud to be comedy actor. Lara will soon create laughs with her forthcoming films like Houseful and Do Knot Disturb.
Talking about Houseful, Lara said, “Houseful will be my third comic role in a row. And I’m not worried. It’s a large cast (Deepika Padukone and Jiah Khan). But I have the best part among the girls.”
She feels comedy is tougher that serious roles. “I think doing comedy is far tougher than serious roles. I don’t have to break my bangles and rub the sindoor off my hair to prove a good performance. Though I still have to get that one performance-oriented role which would take me to another level. Every morning I wake up and say, I know it’s out there somewhere,” she said.
David Dhavan is directing Do Knot Disturb, in which Lara playing a role opposite Govinda. Lara and Govinda worked together previously in Bhagam Bhag. “David and Govinda share an outstanding comic chemistry. If I’ve been able to match steps with them then that’s quite something for me. Govinda and I share a lot more scenes together here than in Bhagam Bhag,” added the actress.
The interesting thing about Do Knot Disturb is that for the first time Lara and Sushmita Sen, the two former Miss Universes came together, to which Lara see as USP.
There were reports that the actress is taking break after her recent box office flop Billu Barber. However she has something else to say “I had a number of releases, but then the strike happened and few of them got held up. Ravi Chopra’s Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai ran into litigation and David Dhawan’s Do Knot Disturb also got held up. There’s a stay order on Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai till June. I can’t comment on the matter since it’s subjudice. Ravi Chopra is a man who knows what he’s doing,” said Lara.

Karan Protest Against Racism Attacks

As we know that Indian students are facing racism attacks in Australia, producer-director Karan Johar expressed in disapproval in his own way. Karan’s untitled production was supposed to shoot in Australia, but now he is planning to do it in US to condemn the racial attacks. That is expected from him as his films are always NRI oriented and he himself had studied abroad.
A source revealed, “Initially, Australia was finalised for the shoot. Now the shooting schedule has been shifted to the US. Karan did not want to shoot in a country where the Indian students are facing racism. Since he is in the US now, where he is shooting for My Name Is Khan, he thought that the other film could be easily shifted here.”
The film is being directed by Siddharth Malhotra which stars actors like Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in the lead. It is a remake of Hollywood film Stepmom.
But when asked to the director, he gave a diplomatic answer. “Nothing has been confirmed as of now. We are still exploring all the locations. Whichever location suits the film better will be finalised. At the end of the day, it’s the producers call. Everything will be finalised by mid-July,” said the director.
Shooting for the film will start in October.

Soha-Kunal Called It’s Off

Another Bollywood couple parted their ways as Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu called it’s off to each other. The actors come close to each other on the sets of Dhoondte Reh Jaoge, in which they were casted opposite each other. But now even if they broke up, they don’t have any hard feeling for each other and still friends.
Few months ago there was news that Kunal headed to Goa to be with Soha when he learnt that Siddharth her co-star from Rang De Basanti is spending good time with her over there. May be the rift between them started since then. One source revealed, “They parted in a very dignified manner. There is no animosity on either side. They are still friends.”
But when it asked to both of them, instead of confirming their split they don’t even accepted that they were involved romantically before.
“That’s because we are not working on any film together,” said Kunal.
However Soha said, “Since we actresses seem to have been created more to romance our co-stars and less to act in films, it is only natural and fitting that during Dhoondte Reh Jaoge and 99, Kunal and I were ‘paired up’ by the media, and now that we are no longer working together, we have ‘broken up’. For my future boyfriends, please refer to my list of anticipated releases.”

Shruti Hassan is already a known name even before her first film hits the screens given the varied talents in playback singing and rock shows. However, Shruti has no qualms in giving her best when it comes to making it big on the silver screen. Tamanna, a young participant from Chandigarh could not reach the finals but gained enough popularity due to her linkup with fellow participant Nauman, and also for her catfights with other contestant, Palak. Now, Tamanna is blaming Palak for this and says that the girl in the video is not she. She also goes on to say that another sex video featuring Palak and Bobby (another contestant) can be found on the net. To this, Palak replied, , “If you find my sex clip, publish it”. Amruta Patki to debut with Apoorva Lakhia’s supernatural thriller

Amruta Patki was the crowning beauty of Ponds Femina Miss India 2006 and now as a next stepping stone in the glamour world, the beautiful girl will make her debut on the silver screen with producer Apporva Lakhia’s next project which will supposedly be a supernatural thriller. Amruta got the role after being selected in the audition which included almost a dozen aspirants.

The visit to the Guantanamo Bay prison horrifies Katrina

Recently Katrina Kaif got an opportunity to visit the security prison at Guantanamo Bay as she shot for a movie at the place. The place horrified the delicate beauty so much that she was left drained and gloomy after her visit to the place. When she came face to face with the stories of brutality and tortures associated with the prison, she was absolutely shocked.
A depressed Katrina said, “We are not making a documentary on 9/11 and so this film is highly entertaining yet very realistic. We shot in actual locations associated with the 9/11 attacks and Guantanamo was one of them. I was there for just a day to shoot my portions. It was shocking to see the high-profile prison where people who were sentenced for their lives were also living.”
“I did not meet any person arrested and jailed in connection with the terror attacks. But I have heard stories about them when I was shooting there. Some most wanted criminals have stayed there”, she added.

Now, Sanjay Dutt is again getting to enact another role of a cop. This Rahul Dholakia’s movie will be based on Kashmiri militancy and is titled ‘Lamhaa’. Talking about Sanjay Dutt, it may be mentioned here that Sanju Baba is out to remake Feroz Khan’s ‘Qurbani’ where he will have Fardeen to play late father Feroz Khan’s role in the film. Sanjay Dutt will play the role which was originally done by Amjad Khan.

Will Freida Pinto work with Madhur Bhandarkar?

When the ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ girl Freida Pinto expressed her wish to work with Bollywood’s realistic moviemaker, Madhur Bhandarkar, the latter was so flattered with the lady’s desire that he said that he would “love to work with her”.
“I’m quite flattered to hear Freida wants to work with me. I think she is aware of my female-oriented cinema. She must have seen the performances that Tabu and Konkona Sen Sharma gave in Chandni Bar and Page 3. I’d love to work with Freida,” Bhandarkar said.
“Today, I’m at a stage where an actress of Freida’s international popularity singles me out. I guess I must’ve done something right in these 10 years as a director. Can you imagine the kind of potboilers I’d be making if my first film Trishakti had clicked?”
Reportedly, Miss Pinto had expressed this heartfelt desire of hers in an interview to the international press where she said that she would do a Bollywood film only if it was a Bhandarkar film.

London: Former Bondgirl Denise Richards, who worked with Bollywood heartthrob Akshay Kumar in upcoming film Kambakkht Ishq, says she enjoyed locking lips with the actor as he is a "good kisser".
An impressed Richards has branded the actor India's "sexiest star", Contactmusic reported.
"Akshay was so down to earth and very genuine. He made me feel very comfortable, plus he's a good kisser! I can see why he's India's sexiest actor!," Richards said.
Directed by Sabbir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film also features Hollywood actors Sylvester Stallone and Brandon Routh apart from Denise Richards in key roles.

Katrina Kaif is having a tough time dubbing for Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, especially with director Raj Kumar Santoshi known to be very articular about his actor's diction. The actress, who has a pronounced British accent, has been practising her Hindi constantly with friends as well as in her dubbing, so much so that she almost lost her voice. For Katrina dubbing is the most difficult part of the acting process. After all, she was initially dubbed by professional artists. She finally won the right to speak on screen in her own voice. Co-star Ranbir Kapoor has a lot of colloquial Hindi to speak in "Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani" and Santoshi has personally been supervising the dubbing. But Ranbir is a very skilled dialogue deliverer. And getting the rustic colloquialism right is a cakewalk for him. Not so for Katrina. She finds the dubbing the most challenging thing she has ever done. "I don't have any colloquial lines like Ranbir. I play this Catholic Bandra girl who's very dramatic. She's funny to others. But not to herself. So when I cry I have to cry real tears but make sure they come across as funny. First of all the lines are not comic in the dubbing theatre. So I've to recreate the laughter on the sets in a studio without knowing if I am being funny enough," said Katrina. For Katrina it's excruciating. "I don't know whether I'm getting it right or not. I'm doing the dubbing under supervision. But this is the most difficult film I've dubbed for." Now that she's almost finished dubbing she plans to re-do the portions Santoshi isn't satisfied with. A bigger challenge now awaits Katrina. In Prakash Jha's "Rajneeti", where she plays a politician, she must Recreate all the rhetorics that she mouthed on stage in front of thousands of spectators. "The speeches I made have been taped. Now I have to listen to them, get the accent, tone and voice quality right, and dub in a studio." Easier said than done.

Comments on Prophet Mohammad a writing error: Shah Rukh

Mumbai, A day after a police complaint was filed against him for “hurting religious sentiments” in Islam, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh said Friday that his comments to a magazine were misinterpreted due to a “writing error”.
The First Information Report (FIR) was lodged by the Mumbai Aman Committee (MAC) at the Bandra police station here Thursday after they read in Time’N Style-Luxury that Shah Rukh had listed Prophet Mohammad as one of the most unimpressive personalities in history alongside Adolf Hitler and Winston Churchill.
But Shah Rukh said it was a “writing error” and that he had named the Prophet among the most impressive personalities in history.
“Obviously I think that there is no more important figure in history than Prophet Mohammad in the most positive way possible. Also, being a Muslim and standing up for the tenets of Islam is my most important agenda. If they (MAC) have seen my interviews on TV about Islam and Prophet Mohammad, they would know it’s a writing error and not a thought or view that I believe in,” Shah Rukh told IANS in an SMS message.
“For all practical purposes, Prophet Mohammad is the most important positive figure in Islam,” he added.
A corrigendum from the magazine was also published across Mumbai newspapers Thursday wherein the magazine accepted the error.
The corrigendum stated: “This is with reference to the interview with Shah Rukh Khan that featured in Time’N Style-Luxury Vol-1 issue: The answer to question ‘According to you (Shah Rukh) who is the most impressive figure in history?’ should have appeared as: ‘There are lots of them. Some negative ones like Hitler. Then Napoleon, Winston Churchill were impressive.
” ‘If I can call it history then most impressive, positive figure Prophet Mohammad and from recent times there are the nice ones like Nelson Mandela, Gandhiji and Mother Teresa.’ This is a clarification and the error is deeply regretted.”
An official from the Bandra police station, however, confirmed that the FIR had not been withdrawn even after the corrigendum was published.

One of the great fans of Salman attempted to meet him personally in his house. He is a 25 year old guy named Ajay Giri who was also assisted by some of his friends. Govinda’s Strange Ways

Govinda is known for his obscure ways but this one, takes the cake. A struggling writer is said to have approached Govinda to play the lead role for his film. After a narration, the actor is said to have been so happy with the script, he not only agreed to be a part of the cast but also is said to have agreed to produce the film too. The writer, who had to find serious connections to meet the actor, was beyond thrilled, needless to say. He headed home to his small humble abode and informed his friends and family of his great accomplishment. Unknown to him, it was only short lived. Much after midnight, the writer’s phone rang and he was naturally shocked to hear an angry Govinda on the other side of the phone. The actor went on to abuse and curse out the writer who was completely bewildered, “You came and narrated the script of Baarish to me, and now my children have got a bad cold, and they are suffering. It is all your fault!” Govinda is said to have claimed. He went on to let the writer know that if he ever saw him again, he wouldn’t leave him alive. When the writer tried to “reason” with the actor, he was simply shot down. A source claims, “Chi Chi then told the boy that he wouldn't do his film and he'd make sure he wouldn't be able to make that film with anyone else either. He tried to reason with Chi Chi but the actor just abused him some more and then hung up.” The writer is said to still be in a state of shock from the incident and will require some time to heal from the peculiarity that is Govinda.

Rajkumar Hirani’s multistarrer project ‘3 Idiots’ is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘Five Point Someone’ and stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Mona Singh and Boman Irani. Mona Singh is especially excited about the project because it is definitely a big silver screen debut for her to appear alongside perfectionist Aamir Khan in her first venture.
Mona was initially very inhibitive about working with Aamir but the actor eased her up soon. Describing her experience of working with Aamir Khan, Mona says, “It was really nice. Initially I had my qualms about him but then the director of the film told me to meet Aamir once before starting the shoot.”
“I was shooting for Filmfare and Aamir was there for his movie. It was a week’s time for me to start with the project with him. I was confused and didn’t know what to say but I broke the ice after meeting him. Aamir also said that he has seen my show Jassi and liked my work. He is very down to earth and nice person,” she added.

‘Lets Dance’ with Gayatri Patel

‘Lets Dance’ marks the debut of the promising Alabama beauty, Gayatri Patel, who is extremely fond of dancing. Our space had informed you that very recently, Soha Ali Khan shot an intimate scene with Shiney Ahuja for the upcoming movie ‘Accident’. But this does not mean that Soha, who has had a clean image so far, is out to make it big by giving sensational scenes in every movie she does.
This was proved when Soha refused to do a kissing scene with our serial kisser Emraan Hashmi with whom she is working in director Kunal Deshmukh’s ‘Tum Mile’. The movie is a love story in the backdrop of 26/7 floods in Mumbai.
Earlier Soha had given an affirmative nod to the scene when the script was detailed to her but when it came to enacting the scene, the lady developed cold feet and was just unable to do it. Kunal tries hard to convince Soha but the lady just could not bring herself to do the scene which was supposedly an important part of the script. Soha’s attitude hurt Emraan’s ego and later he too refused to do the scene with her. The director was then left with no other option than to pack up for the day.

Music Review for Bollywood Film 'New York'

After being starved for Bollywood music for quite a few months owing to the stand-off between producers and multiplexes, music buffs finally have something really worth listening to. Yash Raj Films' first release of the year called 'New York' stars John Abraham, Katrina Kaif, and Neil Nitin Mukesh as three friends whose lives are changed forever after the devastating 9/11 attacks.The music of 'New York' is youthful and fresh. Since the film is completely based in New York, the music of the film also has that complete western feel and there are very few Indian elements in it. The soundtrack features four songs, two remixes and two instrumentals.The first song "Hai Junoon" is sung by KK, who has been known for his youthful voice in many of Pritam's compositions. It is a young, hip and foot-tapping number and it will be a hit amongst youngsters. The track also has a remixed version, which is average and adds nothing to the song. There is also a music video from the track below for those of you who want to see the song in action.Next is "Mere Sang" by the diva singer Sunidhi Chauhan behind the mic. Sunidhi has the potential to mesmerize the listener and she succeeds in doing so in the song. Although the lyrics could have been better, "Mere Sang" sounds nice in parts where the tempo rises. This song also has a remixed version, which is far from interesting, making the original much better.Up next is "Tune Jo Na Kaha". Mohit Chauhan has sung the track in his usual free-flowing, soft voice and trademark style. The song has a heard-before feel but still makes the listener sit up and take notice. The lyrics are good too.The fourth song on the list is "Aye Saaye Mere," sung and composed by Pankaj Awasthi. It has a rustic feel to it but has an urban touch at places too. The song is well sung and the music makes it intriguing. "Aye Saaye Mere" is surely a good listen.The movie boasts of not one but two instrumentals composed by Julius Packiam. The first one, "Sam's theme", is slow, poignant, soothing to the ears and has less musical arrangements. The vocals are sung by Caralisa Monteiro who does a great job with it and apart from her vocals the music has little to offer in this theme. The fact that Sam's character has a theme proves that he is the central character in the film. It is an equally engrossing piece of work.The second one called the "New York theme" is dark, edgy and definitely the highlight of the album. The music grows on the listener and is very intense. After a long time, a soundtrack entails an instrumental.On the whole, "New York" is a welcome break from the dry spell in the Bollywood music scene. I would give this album a three out of five and I think it is worth listening to. The best songs that stand out would be ""Hai Junoon"" (including the remix)," "Mere Sang"", and the ""New York Theme"". Pritam has done a good job and has created some nice hummable tracks that are sure to strike a chord with the listeners, especially youngsters.

The Spatulate Hand: As the name suggests, the fingers of this hand are flattened like a spatula. The most characteristic feature is the large thumb. But it’s sad to see actors, established or not-so-established using their co-star’s name for publicity. They take advantage of my single status and friendly nature. But do they realize how such sleazy whispers could jeopardize my prospects of finding love?”She also sent an SMS to Abhimanyu Singh which read, “Abhimanyu, u better stop talking about this so called link up. In the first place there’s no link up, so stop going to the media and crying about things which don’t exist.”

The undecided fate of Shiney Ahuja’s projects

Times are definitely not good for Shiney Ahuja who is in news for raping his maid. Among the films which he has in hands currently is the one with Soha Ali Khan titled ‘Accident’ and the actors recently shot a very intimate scene for the flick which is supposed to be a psychological-cum-supernatural horror.Soha here plays Shiney’s wife who is emotionally disturbed because of an accident and the loss of her baby. The scene takes place when they come to stay in a bungalow and that’s where they have an intimate moment.Being professional, Soha has no inhibitions about the scene and says, “I have done intimate scenes earlier in Khoya Khoya Chand. Even Antar Mahal was a very progressive subject with lots of intimacy involved. I am open to doing certain scenes that are within my comfort level but I won’t do anything for commercially exploitative reasons to bring in the eyeballs. Whether it’s a kiss or a lovemaking scene it should make script sense.”“There’s no physical lovemaking scene. It’s all subtle with silences and imagery. I do draw the limit in certain scenes. In such cases I won’t tell the director at the last moment to delete the scene but instead ask him to choose another actor right at the beginning,” she adds.Soha is very happy about her role in the film and says that the film has an international quality to it. But with Shiney being involved in the rape case, the film will definitely suffer.

Shiney Ahuja arrested on the charge of rape of house maid

Gangster famed Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja was arrested on Monday morning by Mumbai police on the rape charges of his domestic help after medical test of the house maid confirmed of the sexual assault. He has been charged with sections of IPC for rape (376), criminal intimidation (506) and wrongful confinement (342) and is to be produced before magistrate’s court as told by police officials. He was detained for questioning at Oshiwara police station.According to additional commissioner of police Amitabh Gupta, the 18 year old maid who was working with Ahuja for one and a half months “She approached the Oshiwara police at around 7 pm and told the police that Ahuja had raped her,”She told the police, actor’s wife was not at home. “He took me into his bedroom, gagged and raped me,” it is alleged to been said in the FIR. The incident took place between 3 pm and 5 pm on Sunday. “The complainant told the police that she was traumatised after the incident and went to her relatives’ place that along with the girl then approached the police station,” told DCP Niket Kaushik.Immediately after the complaint was registered, the girl was sent to the Nagpada police hospital for a medical checkup on late Sunday night. And other police team was sent to the Ahuja’s flat and detained him for enquiry.Mahesh Bhatt, who produced Gangster for Shiny Ahuja, said, “This is a body blow to me. I spoke to a top police official who told me that he was informed by his juniors at Oshiwara that Shiny claimed that he had sex with the consent of the maid. However, she has claimed that she was forced into it. The police officer added that they had to accept the woman’s version. I had spoken to Shiny only yesterday. If he is found guilty of rape, we have to condemn him.”

So she has decided to stay away from bikini scenes as her mother, yesteryear heroine Babita, didn't like her in a two-piece suit in "Tashan"."No more bikini shots for me. I mean I'm very happy with the kind of attention and adulation I got for getting into a bikini in 'Tashan'. And I wasn't uncomfortable wearing it. Why should I be? I've the physique to carry it off. But that's it."My mother didn't like me in a bikini. Also the kind of work that I'm doing now in '3 Idiots' or Rensil D'Silva's film doesn't require that kind of exposure," Kareena told IANS.With Kareena being extremely busy with her career and beau Saif Ali Khan, mom Babita has a lot of time on hand."She now does a lot of charity work with charitable institutions like the Mount Mary Old Age Home in Bandra and other places. She's a very giving woman. I should know. She sacrificed her own career and joys to bring up my sister and me," said the actress.Not too many people know that Babita is half Christian."Her mother was a Christian and father a Sindhi. So we are as fond of the church as we're of the temple. Christmas is a big event for us," said Kareena.Surprisingly, the actress is full of praise for her supposed archrival Priyanka Chopra."I don't know why so much is made of our rivalry. We're in totally different spaces. She does her own films. I do mine. Whenever we meet, she's really sweet to me. I don't understand why we're made out to be two squabbling sirens. I can't live, breathe or take one step without my mother. The only difference is she'll now have a separate apartment.
